
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) reports an additional 14,923 people are registered to vote in the 19 May 2024 presidential and congressional elections upwards from those authorized to vote in the 18 February municipal election.
The Central Electoral Board says the number of Dominicans authorized to vote this May is 8,145,548 comparing to the 8,103,291 people who were eligible to vote in the municipal election.
The JCE indicated that of the 8,145,548 Dominicans on the electoral roll, 7,281,763 live in the Dominican Republic and 863,785 eligible voters live abroad.
For the 19 May presidential and congressional elections, the JCE will open 16,851 electoral stations in the 32 provinces, including the National District.
The presidential and congressional election campaign is scheduled to start on 10 March 2024.
