Aloft Santo Domingo Piantini is in full operation now after three months of soft opening. The hotel boasts it is the “contemporary-style” brand of the Marriott mega hotel company.
The first Aloft brand opened in 2008 and now there are upwards of 220 around the world. The Santo Domingo Aloft has been open since mid-December 2023.
The Aloft Santo Domingo Piantini towers over the Av. Abraham Lincoln, with most of its 192 rooms having impressive views of the capital city. The Aloft is “dog-friendly,” catering to tourists who travel with their pets.
The hotel offers fast wi-fi, innovative meeting rooms of varied sizes and with audio-visual equipment, and even a 24-hour cafeteria.
The hotel expects to start soon offering what the brand is best known for that is its emphasis on a lively, in-hotel social scene and innovative music programming, highlighting emerging artists.
Marriott only recently also opened the Marriott Courtyard Santo Domingo Piantini, a short walk away from the new Aloft Piantini.
