Grupo Puntacana has invited some of the most famous, if not the most famous, chefs of Latin America for a Culinary Weekend in Punta Cana.
Puntacana Resort & Club presents the first edition its Culinary Weekend on the weekend from 7 to 10 March 2024.
Renowned chefs from Latin America are participating:
Chefs Mitsuhara Tsuruma of Maido Restaurant (Nikkei cuisine) in Peru. Maido is regarded as #1 Latin America 50 Best Restaurants and #6 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurant List.
Marsia Taha of Gustu Restaurant in La Paz, Bolivia is ranked on the list of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Benjamin Nast of De Calle, Chile is on that list of 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America.
Álvaro Clavijo of El Chato, Colombia is ranked #2 Latin America for 50 Best Restaurants.
Janaina Torres of A Casa do Porco, Brazil is ranked #4 on the latin America 50 Best Restaurants and Latin America’s Best Female Chef.
The gastronomic event will open with a cocktail on Thursday, 7 March 2024, introducing the chefs of the weekend, with appetizers prepared by the Bolivian Marsia Taha, recognized in 2021 with the award for the Newest Female Chef of Latin America, according to the list The World’s 50 Best Restaurants; and the Chilean chef Benjamin Nast, tops in the rating of the Latin America 50 Best Restaurants.
On Friday, 8 March, the experience will be led by chef Mitsuhara Tsuruma, a specialist in Nikkei gastronomy, for his mix between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.
On Saturday, 9 March, the gastronomic experience will be led by the talented chef Janaina Rueda, accompanied by the mastery of Marsia Taha.
The event concludes on Sunday, 10 March with the culinary creativity of chef Alvaro Clavijo and Benjamin Nast.
The costs of the tickets to the dinners are commensurate with the prestige of the chefs.
