The fifth edition of the PGA Tour Corales Puntacana Championship will soon open at the Corales Golf Club in Puntacana Resort & Club. The PGA Tour event is scheduled for 15 to 21 April 2024 in Punta Cana.
The 18-hole Corales Golf Course is especially attractive to golfers as it has kms of natural cliffs and coralina quarries beside the Caribbean Sea.
More than 120 professional players have registered for the chance at earning points of the FedExCup. The golf tournament will pay the best players US$3.8 million.
The PGA Tour is the most important held in the country, with the greatest global reach, a major plus in promoting tourism and the Dominican brand.
“Through the Corales Puntacana Championship we can continue promoting the best of the Dominican Republic and Punta Cana as one of the leading golf tourist destinations in the Caribbean,” said Manuel Sajour, executive director of marketing for Grupo Puntacana and director of the tournament.
For the same tournament held in 2023, international channels such as Golf Channel, NBC, CBS, ESPN, NHK, CCTV, Sky Sport and others transmitted more than 35 hours of golf from the Dominican golf venues.
