
The board of the civic movement and Dominican chapter of Transparency International, Citizen Participation has elected Erick Hernández Machado to be the general coordinator for 2024-2025.
Hernandez is a lawyer with a masters’ decree in Business and Economic Legislation and in Real Estate Law, with Postgraduate Degrees in Civil Law, Regulatory Law, Constitutional Law, Constitutional Justice, Fundamental Rights and Amparo Processes.
His biography indicates he has served as judge for 14 years. He was a member of the board of directors of the National School of the Judiciary and the Cooperative of Judicial Servants. He also is a Certified Official of Conciliator and Liquidator Law No. 141-15 on Restructuring and Liquidation of Business Companies and Individuals. He has been a consultant to the International Labor Organization (ILO), a consultant to USAID-El Salvador, and honorary advisor to the Central American Parliament. He is a Certified Compliance Officer (casino specialty).
He has published works on various topics linked to his professional practice.
He has been recognized by the UNIBE Alumni Circle “Distinguished Graduate” and the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic for “the merits of his brilliant professional career.”
