Magaly Febles, the organizer of the Miss Dominican Republic National Beauty Contest, announces the pageant to choose the Dominican Republic representatives in international pageants in 2024 will be held on Sunday, 5 May 2024 at 9 pm. The ceremony will be transmitted on Colorvision, Channel 9 and streamed for audiences in the Americas.
The organizers say that around 28 candidates representing Dominican provinces and Dominican communities abroad will compete. Miss Dominican Republic representatives to the Miss Universe, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss International and other pageants will be chosen during the event.
Febles highlights that with the flexing of the rules for the Miss Universe contest mothers are competing this year.
Febles mentions that the candidates have gone through a rigorous selection process, and must be active university students or graduates. She said the contestants since 6 April are undergoing intensive training with courses and workshops on Catwalk, Tourism, Oratory and Diction, Etiquette and Protocol, History, Poise and Stage Projection, Wardrobe and Makeup.
Magaly Febles is also the organizer of the Miss Salvador contest.
