Following a meeting of candidates of Opción Democrática, the young emerging political party, the party announced it would work towards an assembly in October to use the party’s leadership. The party failed from achieving a seat in the Chamber of Deputies.
The party that is seen as a grouping that represents young people seeks to reorganize with the efforts of the 2024 candidates. The party failed to garner enough votes to maintain funding from the Central Electoral Board (JCE).
Worse still, its star candidate, Jose Horacio Rodriguez failed to win his bid for reelection to his deputy position in the Chamber of Deputies.
