The Dominican delegation presented a series of projects and strategies aimed at positioning the country as an attractive destination for companies in this sector. Additionally, the meeting also identified the challenges facing the country in achieving this goal, such as the need to improve human capital preparation and develop a solid strategy for promoting the Dominican Republic as a manufacturing destination for the semiconductor industry.
Furthermore, collaboration projects between USAID and the Dominican Republic in the area of nearshoring were addressed, with the objective of strengthening the country’s capacity to take advantage of the opportunities offered by this trend in international trade.
