Meanwhile, in Haiti, consultations are resumed under presidential advisor Smith Agustin for a new Haitian Constitution. Haiti Libre reported that the meeting marked an important step towards relaunching the file of constitutional reform and the national conference as a national project which aims to be inclusive and participatory meeting the needs and expectations of the Haitian people. The meeting participants were former Deputy Jerry Tardieu, former President of a Legislative Commission on constitutional amendments and Professor Louis Naud Pierre, pivotal member of the Independent Consultative Committee (CCI) established put in place by late President Moïse.
Meanwhile, on the Dominican side of the border, the Ministry of Defense continues vigilant to control for goods and people smuggling.
