École Hôtelière de Lausanne students choose Las Terrenas for graduation trip

The 2024 graduating class of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), ranked as one of the best tourism schools in the world, chose Las Terrenas in northern Samana to celebrate their graduation. Around 300 students came for the celebration, Diario Libre reports.

According to a press release, the young people explained they chose the country to enjoy the experience and look into opportunities to work in Dominican hotels.

Three of the students who visited the country have already received job offers, Diario Libre reports.

The students arrived via Las Americas International Airport (SDQ), and from there traveled by land to Las Terrenas, Samaná, for a week’s stay during which they held their graduation party.

As reported, the graduate students toured the Limon Waterfall, Frontón and Ermitaño beaches, among other attractions. A gala dinner was held for the group at the Porto By Mosquito in Portillo Beach.

The École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is a member of the HES-SO, University of Applied Sciences and Arts (UAS) of Switzerland, recognized by the Swiss Federal Government, and is accredited by NECHE, recognized by the United States Department of Education.

EHL offers an international learning experience for talented and ambitious students from all over the world.
