RD Vial reported the resumption on Sunday, 21 July 2024 of the Fast Pass and cash payment services at all lanes of the Las Americas Expressway tolls plaza following a temporary disruption caused by a lightning strike early on Saturday, 20 July 2024 in the morning.
Jean Luis Rodríguez, director of RD Vial, praised the swift response of the technical teams, stating, “Multiple technical units intervened at the station to efficiently and timely restore vital services on one of the country’s main thoroughfares.”
