Can you imagine being on stage with Adele, the British singer known for her soulful voice, for months on end? Young violinist Jose Francisco Perez is doing just that and getting paid for it. Perez is a product of Pedro Henriquez Ureña National University (UNPHU) and the Hochschule für Musik in Germany and has been chosen as an accompanist for the mega-star singer on her world tour.
Young Jose Francisco Perez is certainly another star among Dominican musicians, following in the foodsteps of concert violinist Aisha Syed Castro and singer-composer Juan Luis Guerra.
According to reports, Adele personally selects the musicians who accompany her on tour, and she is particularly demanding regarding ability, discipline and passion for the music.
Perez has said that “it was and honor and a dream come true” to be able to play next to Adele.
Grammy Award–winning singer Adele is known for her soulful sound and songs “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “Hello,” among many other hits.
