Tourism Minister David Collado delivered the trophy to Bosnian Damir Dzumhur who repeats as champion of the DR Tennis Open, an ATP Challenger Tour event.
Dzumhur celebrated with an “I’m not done yet.” The former World No. 23 returned to the Top 100 on Monday, 19 August 2024 for the first time since 2020 after his win at the tournament in Santo Domingo.
In doubles, the winners were Ecuatorian Diego Hildago who played with Mexican Miguel Angeles Reyes Varela versus Sriram Balaji of India and Fernando Romboli of Brazil in a match on Sunday, 18 August 2024.
The DR Tennis Open had cash prizes for US$164,000.
