Expect a display of more art and color on board Arajet flights now that the Eduardo León Jimenes Foundation, Centro León, and the low-cost airline Arajet have signed an agreement to develop initiatives to promote Dominican and Caribbean art and culture. The collaboration calls for the strengthening of educational programs for the training of specialized arts personnel.
As part of the agreement, the institutions will implement strategies to provide a cultural experience for Arajet passengers, integrating elements of art and culture to enrich the traveler’s journey.
The agreement was signed by Víctor Pacheco, founder of Arajet; María Amalia León, president of the Eduardo León Jimenes Foundation; and María Luisa Asilis, executive director of Centro León.
Pacheco noted that the goal of the agreement is to strengthen cultural and educational ties between the participating institutions, as well as to provide passengers with an enriched travel experience featuring cultural elements that reflect the richness of Dominican art.
León, for her part, stated that “having a partnership with Arajet empowers us to attract the interest of our Dominican community abroad.”
Among the Centro León projects that will receive support from Arajet are exhibitions and educational programs that will contribute to the development and visibility of Dominican art and culture.
