
The United States Embassy in Santo Domingo has announced it is changing its visa services provider on 23 September 2024. The Embassy says that despite the change, all Visa Application Center (VAC) and US Embassy appointments remain valid, for both nonimmigrant visa and immigrant visa appointments. The US Consulate, nevertheless, is reaching out to visa applicants to let them know the following important dates.
30 August 2024 – Last day to pay visa fees in cash at the bank until transition to new visa services provider is complete.
12 September 2024 – Last day to pay visa fees online using credit/debit cards until transition to new visa services provider is complete.
13 September 2024 – Last day to access your account on ustraveldocs.com to schedule/reschedule appointments for applicants and contact customer service. The new visa services provider will be begin offering these services on September 23. More information about the new visa services provider will appear on this webpage soon.
16 September 2024 – Temporary suspension of document and passport drop off at all Mail Boxes Etc. locations (with the exception of the “MBE Tiradentes” location) for delivery to the Embassy. The service will resume on 23 September.
18 September 2024 – Last day to drop off your documents and passports at the Visa Application Center (VAC) located at Galeria 360 and “MBE Tiradentes” location (Av. Tiradentes No. 10, Santo Domingo) for delivery to the Embassy.
20 September 2024 – Last day to retrieve your documents delivered from the Embassy at the VAC located at Galeria 360. All documents ready for pick up at the VAC in Galería 360 that have not been picked up on or after September 20, 2024, will be moved to “MBE Tiradentes” location (Av. Tiradentes No. 10, Santo Domingo).
23 September 2024– New visa appointment scheduling website goes live. Fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer service will be available again.
