The Dominican Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (SDMA) was officially launched this week, marking a significant milestone in the country’s approach to health and aging. The event, held at the INTEC university’s Social Security Observatory, brought together leading health authorities and medical professionals.
Pioneered by plastic surgeon and anti-aging specialist Dr. Luis López Tallaj, the SDMA aims to revolutionize the way aging is perceived and managed in the Dominican Republic. In his keynote address, titled “Seeking Longevity,” Dr. Tallaj outlined the society’s vision of promoting healthy aging through prevention, education, and evidence-based interventions.
“The SDMA is committed to a holistic approach to aging,” said Dr. Tallaj. “We will focus on early detection and prevention of age-related diseases, while promoting a healthy lifestyle and ensuring ethical and safe practices in anti-aging medicine.”
The society will also play a key role in educating healthcare professionals about the latest advancements in anti-aging medicine. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, the SDMA hopes to create a healthier future for the Dominican people.
The launch of the SDMA signals a growing interest in anti-aging medicine in the Dominican Republic. As the population continues to age, there is an increasing demand for interventions that can help people live longer, healthier lives.
