President Luis Abinader to be key speaker at CAF Conference

President Luis Abinader will travel to Washington DC to deliver the keynote address at the CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean 27th Annual Conference. The event is set for Thursday, 5 September 2024 at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. Over the years, the CAF Conference has become a key forum for addressing major development issues in Latin America and the Caribbean from a global perspective.

The 2024 CAF Conference, focusing on the intersection of security and development challenges in the region, will address critical issues including regional stability, transnational organized crime, subnational approaches to creating safe communities, combatting gender-based violence, and the future of US relations with Latin America and the Caribbean.

The press release on the announcement highlights that President Abinader, recently re-elected to a second term, brings a wealth of experience and insight to the conference.
