President Luis Abinader last weekend toured the El Dorado Water Park in Cap Cana, the resort and residential area on the southern coast of Punta Cana. The park has been in operation since May 2024.
El Dorado Water Park is the new attraction in Punta Cana. Located in the southern stretch of the Punta Cana touristic and residential area in Cap Cana, the recreational complex is marketing itself as the biggest water park in the Caribbean.
There are pools that look like lakes and water attractions for people of all ages and levels. The water park was designed for toddlers wanting to splash around and teenage thrill-seekers searching for their next water-powered adrenaline rush. There is a long lazy river, water slides and much more. There is also an instrumental playground and kms of landscaped tropical botanical gardens.
The park features 16 attractions that have been open since 17 May 2024. More to open soon.
A Roman-style amphitheater has been included for concerts.
Full-day plans are recommended. Tickets are available online, starting at US$129 general admission. There is a special deal of US$69 for Dominican and local resident adults, US$35 for children and children 0-3 are free. The water park is open Thursday to Sunday from 10 to 6pm.
Scape Park is another outdoor attraction in Cap Cana, also worth a full day. Scape Park is open Monday to Sunday. General admission is US$129. There is a special deal of US$50 for Dominicans and local residents.
