President Luis Abinader will be joining regional leaders that have accepted the invitation to attend the inaugural of the first woman to be President in Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum on 1 October 2024.
The presidential inaugurations are excellent opportunities for bilateral meetings and networking with other heads of state. Among other Presidents confirming attending are Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Brazil), Gustavo Petro (Colombia); Gabriel Boric (Chile), Santiago Peña Palacios (Paraguay), Luis Alberto Arce Catacora (Bolivia), Miguel Díaz-Canel (Cuba), Bernardo Arévalo de León (Guatemala), and Xiomara Castro Sarmiento (Honduras). The United States confirmed that First Lady Jill Biden would represent the United States.
