The Dominican National Police has officially activated a specialized anti-noise division aimed at curbing excessive noise levels and improving the quality of life for citizens. The announcement was made by newly appointed Interior and Police Minister Faride Raful.
This new division will be comprised of 19 regional representations and 50 divisions spread across the country. “We expect a more efficient response to noise complaints,” Raful stated.
The establishment of this division comes after a series of recent initiatives by the Ministry, including the “Operation Guarantee of Peace” conducted in Greater Santo Domingo on September 8th. This operation was designed to reduce conflicts and instill a greater sense of security among citizens.
Raful highlighted the success of these efforts, noting a 30% decrease in social conflict indicators.
The creation of the anti-noise division marks a significant step forward in the Dominican government’s efforts to improve public safety and quality of life. By addressing issues such as excessive noise and traffic accidents, authorities aim to create a more peaceful and harmonious society.
