
Listin Diario reports that during the most recent car sale fairs organized by the state commercial bank, BanReservas, requests for loans for RD$23 billion were received. BanReservas eventually granted financing for RD$7.8 billion for the purchase of 11,000 new vehicles. The rates for car loans are among the lowest, if not the lowest, in the Dominican Republic, a country under the duress of intense traffic jams.
