The National Environmental Protection Service (Senpa), in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, announced the seizing of 1,200 bags of 20 and 40 lbs of charcoal. The operation took place in Los Manantiales, in the municipality of Tabara Abajo in southcentral Azua province.
Senpa announced arresting Milcíades Ramírez Jiménez, the charcoal and an Isuzu truck that would have transported the charcoal.The vehicle, charcoal and detainee were taken to the Ministry of Environment office in Azua.
