Zoe Saldaña explains she has felt very close to her Latin roots in her stellar role in “Emilia Perez,” the film that opens in Dominican cinemas on 14 November 2024.
The film won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for its four actress performances — Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofia Gascon, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz. Saldana plays the main character and has a lot of intense and showy scenes, especially the musical ones.
The plot takes place in Mexico, where a lawyer (Zoe Saldaña) receives an unexpected offer to help a feared cartel boss retire from his business and disappear forever by becoming the woman he’s always dreamed of being.
The film will also be available as of 13 November on Netflix.
