A large store of the kind that would house cheap China imports collapsed last week in Plaza Baza of Ingenio Arriba, off the Circunvalación in Santiago.
The owners of the store did not adhere to the order to stop the construction for faulty construction that had been issued by the Ministry of Housing (Mived). The Mived said the construction did not meet Law 687 and its ruling as stipulated in Decree 1661.
It was reported that two persons were injured. Three persons were rescued when the structure partially collapsed.
