American Airlines is now operating daily flights from Miami International (MIA) to La Romana’s International Airport (LRM). The airplane used has capacity for 128 passengers.
The around two-hour-and-a-half Flight AA3071 leaves Miami International each day at 10:30am and arrives at La Romana at 2pm local time. (DR is currently one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time).
Executives of Casa de Campo, Central Romana, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Airport Authority, were on hand to receive the first passengers of the renewed flights by American.
The American Airlines flights puts the many tourist attractions, most famously Saona Island, just minutes away for travelers landing into the fast-to-clear La Romana International Airport. The area has thousands of hotel rooms in resorts in the Casa de Campo, Bayahibe and Dominicus beach areas.
American regional manager, Oliver Bojos, noted that American Airlines now serves five cities and areas in the Dominican Republic – Santo Domingo, Santiago, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and La Romana.
