Young Dominican journalist and presenter Jessica Hasbun is currently hosting Café CNN on CNN Español through 20 December 2024. The morning show airs live from CNN en Español’s studios in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
This appearance marks a significant milestone in Hasbún’s career, as she has emerged in recent years as one of the leading news anchors in the Dominican Republic.
A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Communications, specializing in Television and Spanish Language, Hasbún began her career at Noticias SIN, where she has worked for the past 15 years. Her parents, leading journalist Alicia Ortega and Fernando Hasbun are the owners of the Noticias SIN network that is the lead news program for Channel 9.
Her journalism journey began as a production assistant on El Informe con Alicia Ortega, one of the Dominican Republic’s most iconic investigative programs. Today, she serves as the lead anchor for the 2pm news edition on Noticias SIN.
