The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and national and Santo Domingo tourism-related entities are hosting the sixth edition of Turizoneando, a family-friendly food and cultural festival, at the newly renovated Fortaleza de Santo Domingo museum this weekend.
Taking place on Saturday, 21 December and Sunday, 22 December 2024, Turizoneando Gastrofest features over 20 of the city’s top restaurants and bars, offering a diverse array of dishes and drinks. The event is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Tourism, the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster, the Association of Restaurants (Aderes), and the Association of Hotels of Santo Domingo (AHSD).
Attendees can indulge in food tastings at the bistro and picnic areas, enjoy live music in the museum’s green space, and browse marketplaces filled with gourmet delicacies and artisan crafts. The festival offers free access to the museum and nightly light projections on the iconic Torre del Homenaje.
