The Presidency announced that President Luis Abinader traveled to the United States to spend the Christmas holiday accompanied by his wife Raquel Arbaje and three daughters. The Presidency says the President left on Christmas Day, 25 December and is scheduled to return on Monday, 30 December 2024. The Presidency did not share details on the President’s agenda in the United States nor where in the United States he would be staying.
Listin Diario reports this is the 38th trip abroad of the President. Vice President Raquel Peña is the acting President for the five-day sojourn of the President, one of the longest he has been abroad.
