Alex Rodriguez and Manny Ramirez are on the voting for the Class of 2024 that is currently underway. The latest number of ballots counted, 122 or about 30% of the total, indicate that both Manny and Alex are in the top ten candidates. Rodriguez is followed by C.C. Sabathia, Billy Wagner, and Carlos Beltran.
However, they are far from the 75% required to enter the Hall of Fame. Ichiro Suzuki leads the current balloting and is on 100% of the ballots.
The Baseball Writers Association of America has a screening committee for candidates. Only members of the association can vote for candidates to the Hall of Fame. Each elector can place up to 10 candidates on his or her ballot. A candidate must be on 75% of the ballots cast to enter the Cooperstown Hall of Fame. The results will be announced on Tuesday 21 January 2025.
