When asked about cancellations of USAID programs in the Dominican Republic, President Luis Abinader downplayed their significance. Yet, HIV medicine distribution will be the most impacted. As the media reports, the cutting of funds will impact the HIV-Aids programs in the Dominican Republic. Likewise, the civic watchdog group Participación Ciudadana reports receiving US$10 million in USAID funding from 2015 to 2022.
