Promoting the DR in Brazil

Tourism Minister was in Brazil as part of a promotional South American tour.

He reiterated that Brazil is an “extremely important” market for Dominican tourism. Brazil travel has grown in leaps and bounds as more airlines are competing for Dominican and Brazilian travelers in 2023 and 2024.

Tourism minister David Collado discussed ongoing efforts to collaborate with new hotel chains and develop new destinations to further strengthen Dominican tourism, achievements made possible by the work of travel agents and tour operators.

“Our commitment is clear: at every event, we strengthen the presence of the Dominican Republic on the global stage, building the future of our country’s tourism together,” said David Collado, the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, during a tourism promotion roadshow in São Paulo, Brazil.

Collado spoke to an audience of over 450 travel agents, tour operators, and social media influencers on Wednesday, proclaiming that the country continues to invest, work, and promote itself to maintain its position as the leading tourist destination in the Caribbean.

During the visit to Brazil, Collado took time to promote the country’s emerging destinations such as Miches and its Esmeralda Beach on the east coast and the up-and-coming Cabo Rojo beach in the southwest and Punta Bergantin on the north coast.
