Niagara Falls will be illuminated with the colors of the Dominican flag on 27 February 2025 in honor of Dominican Independence Day, the Dominican Embassy in Canada announced, as reported in Noticias SIN. The date commemorates the separation from Haiti that had controlled the country for 22 years.
The event will be broadcast on the Dominican Embassy’s social media at 10pm EST, while in Dominican time it will be 11pm.
Niagara Falls is located about 236 meters above sea level and its drop is approximately 51 meters. They are located on the Niagara River, between the United States and Canada.
