Marileidy Paulino is an extraordinary person and athlete. A documentary with her trials and tribulations as she worked her way to be the 400m World Champion and Paris Olympics gold medal winner in the 400m can be seen in Caribbean Cinemas movie cinemas as of Thursday, 13 February 2025 in Santo Domingo. The film, “Sueños Dorados” tells the inspiring story of the triple Olympic medalist (silver in relay and silver in 400m in the Tokyo Olympics).
“Our goal from the start was to tell Marileidy’s story authentically, highlighting not just her greatness as an athlete, but also her humanity and daily struggles,” said Mariano Pichardo, the film’s director.
Produced by Kokaleka Films and directed by Pichardo with Federico Ozores as the producer, Sueños Dorados emphasizes her discipline, roots, and the journey.
Through striking visuals filmed in locations including her hometown of Don Gregorio, Nizao, Santo Domingo, Chile, Spain, and Paris, the film captures the essence of her effort and determination.
Sueños Dorados received the sponsorship of Banco Popular Dominicano, which has been supporting Marileidy Paulino as a brand ambassador since 2022.
