Before leaving for Guyana to participate in the Guyana Energy Conference and follow up with deals in Guyana, President Luis Abinader signed Decree 76-25 that creates a new entity to prevent corruption in government. The Presidential Committee for Transparency and Anti-Corruption is created to strengthen efforts to reduce fraud in the public administration. The committee will oversee new efforts to provide channels for increased participation of the general public in denouncing corruption in government and a new system to prevent corruption in government.
