Drug Control agency finds cocaine in straw exports

In a novel drug bust, agents from the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) prevented the shipment of 110 cocaine-filled straws to Rotterdam, Netherlands. The seizure, which took place at the Haina Port, again highlights the creative methods employed by drug traffickers.

According to a DNCD press release, the narcotics were concealed within the straws, each containing approximately 10 grams of cocaine. The total weight of the seized cocaine amounts to around 1.1 kilograms. The drugs were packed in five boxes.

The operation was carried out by the DNCD’s Anti-Narcotics Brigade, after receiving intelligence about the suspicious package.

The shipment was destined for an address in Rotterdam, a city known as a major European hub for drug trafficking and distribution.

The authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in this smuggling attempt.
