Exports reach historic high of US$12.9 billion, companies recognized

President Luis Abinader led the recognition ceremony on Tuesday, 25 February 2025 of the top ten exporting companies that excelled in international trade during 2024. The event highlighted that the Dominican Republic’s goods exports reached a historic record last year, totaling US$12.92 billion in 2024.

Furthermore, January 2025 was noted as the best month in Dominican export history, setting a new record with US$979 million in exports. These statistics were provided by ProDominicana’s Executive Director, Biviana Riveiro, during the ceremony honoring the ten companies for their exports to international markets in 2024.

Riveiro also emphasized the positive impact of the globalization of Dominican businesses and the government’s commitment to expanding foreign trade. She stated, “At ProDominicana, we continue to support the strengthening of our exports and the accompaniment of the export sector to broaden their global reach. These companies being recognized today are examples of resilience and innovation in international trade.”

The recognition, titled “Export Vanguard, 2025 Edition,” aims to promote excellence and innovation, acknowledge hard work and competitiveness, and inspire new businesses to expand and continue supporting the export culture.
