The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) has announced the release of a new RD$50 bill, set to enter circulation on Thursday, 6 March 2025.
The new bills, bearing the year 2024, will feature the same security measures as the current RD$50 bills in circulation. The year of issue, 2024, can be found on the front side of the bill, on the lower left side near the security thread.
The Central Bank says previously issued RD$50 bills are valid alongside the new 2024 bills.
