American Airlines is promoting its Saturday-only flights to the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) starting 6 December 2025.
The nonstop flights are from Indiana’s Indianapolis International Airport (IND), Tennessee’s Nashville International Airport (BNA), Pittsburgh’s International Airport (PIT), and North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Tickets are for sale for these new winter flights.
All these areas have large populations that are potential new travelers to fly into Punta Cana for a short beach vacation.
In regards to the North Carolina flight, American Airlines will now compete with Avelo Airlines which offers seasonal service to Punta Cana. Avelo Airlines had launched its seasonal flights in February with twice-weekly flights to Punta Cana from Raleigh-Durham.

Over time, it has expanded to include neighboring regions, emerging as one of the nation’s fastest-growing metro areas.
