Inespre market offers low prices for produce in Ciudad Ganadera

The Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) has extended its farmer’s market open at the Ciudad Ganadera on the western side of the Malecon until 13 April 2025. The market had opened for the nine-day Feria Ganadera in a pavilion on the northeast side of the location where a farmer’s market sells meats, fruits and vegetables all year round. The Inespre produce is sold for much less.

The market, located in pavilion number 2 of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Ciudad Ganadera, is open from 10am to 6pm. It offers a variety of products at reduced prices, allowing consumers to buy directly from producers.

The fresh produce prices are significantly lower with plantains, for instance being offered for RD$4 when they are regularly sold for RD$20+ elsewhere, even at the fresh produce market of the Ciudad Ganadera.
