St. Regis Cap Cana officially open

The Dominican Republic now has a St. Regis resort, the second of the Marriott luxury brand in the Caribbean, after the first Aruba resort.

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort has 200 guestrooms, including 36 suites with direct plunge pool access, all with ocean views. The Presidential Suite spans 6,500 square feet and has two bedrooms, a separate living room, media room, two and a half bathrooms, and more.

The hotel announced its guests have a choice of nine dining venues on property, including its flagship Nina Restaurant, helmed by Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz. The restaurant offers a range of dishes complemented by ocean views. Additionally, the Uma Wine Cellar Room offers a private dining experience with a bespoke menu curated by Chef Muñoz.

The resort offers a broad international cuisine experience but A&B have added a signature Bloody Mary, the “Quisqueya Mary,” inspired by a local Dominican dish and crafted with the property’s own island-made light rum, in-house spice mix and infused with fried plantain.

In another local branding, the Amber Room is a lounge space with a selection of rum, cognac and whiskey, complemented by cocktails, Latin-inspired bites and cigars. Cassava, the resort’s Latin American-inspired restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

The rooftop pool and lounge bar Cielo Mio focuses on Mexican and Latin cuisine with outstanding views of the beach.

Marola Pool Bar & Grill offers an array of grilled seafood, meats and classic dishes. Kawa Coffee Shop provides a grab-and-go experience with locally sourced cacao-based treats and artisanal pastries, while El Huerto serves as a versatile pop-up venue hosting plant-based dining experiences, guest chef events and interactive tastings. Finally, Carey Bay, the resort’s beach bar, offers Caribbean-inspired cocktails and light, flavorful dishes.
