El Cierre Digital, a Spanish publication, speculates that emeritus King of Spain Juan Carlos I could travel to the Dominican Republic to coincide with the visit of his granddaughter, Princess Leonor who will be in the DR for five days (19-24 May 2025) as part of her naval training with the Juan Sebastian Elcano tallship that is touring the Americas.
Queen Letizia traveled to Panama, where the ship made a stopover, to meet with her daughter.
