In her Monday, 19 May 2025 sequel to a first El Informe con Alicia Ortega program on perceived irregularities in Saba Encarnación’s actions regarding seized vehicles, Ortega presented new evidence of alleged mishandling. She again urged an official investigation by the Attorney General higher-ups.
Ortega points to a complex judicial imbroglio that reveals a pattern of contradictions and potential abuse of power within the Public Ministry, the prosecution arm of the Attorney General Office.
The Public Ministry has stated it cannot comment on prosecutor Saba Encarnación’s situation, citing an ongoing investigation. The unfolding events raise serious questions about the handling of seized assets and the conduct of officials within the justice system.
