Ambassador Le Quang Long presented credentials to President Luis Abinader on 29 May 2025. The Vietnam government release indicates President Abinader proposed enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly telecommunications, agriculture and high technology, the Vietnam News Agency of the Vietnam government reports.
As reported in the Vietnam Plus/VNA release, Ambassador Long affirmed his commitment to advancing bilateral relations to a new level, serving as a bridge to implement agreements reached during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit to the Dominican Republic in last November 2024, a milestone in strengthening traditional friendship and boosting economic, trade and investment cooperation.
He called on the government of the Dominican Republic to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses, particularly in telecommunications – a sector where Vietnam is strong in and the Dominican Republic needs.
