Of 18 players on the starter rosters of the National League and American League for the All Star Game, four will be Dominicans. These are first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Toronto) and third baseman Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) for the American League. Second baseman Ketel Marte (Arizona) and third baseman Manny Machado (San Diego) for the National League. The bad news is that baseball’s best paid player, Juan Soto (New York Mets) did not make the All Star game.
On Sunday, 6 July 2025, MLB announced that six more Dominican MLB players have been added to the rosters for the 95th Midsummer Classic that is scheduled for Atlanta’s Truist Park on 15 July.
These are Elly de la Cruz (Cincinnatti), Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego), Julio Rodriguez (Seattle) and Jeremy Peña (Houston) and pitchers Freddy Peralta (Milwaukee) and Randy Rodriguez (San Francisco).
This will be Manny Machado and Jose Ramirez’s seventh All Star Game and the fifth for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
