Marileidy Paulino wins her race in Monaco Diamond League

29-year old Marileidy Paulino, the Dominican Republic’s only woman Olympic gold medallist, won the Monaco Diamond League 400m race, doing her usual last-minute burst and clocking in a time of 49.06 in the race at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on 11 July 2025. Paulino defeated Aaliya Butler of the United States whose 49.09 was a personal best for her. Jamaica’s national champion Nickisha Pryce was third, with a season’s best of 49.63.

Paulino’s personal best is the 48.17 she set for the Paris Olympic Games in 2024. Her season’s best was set during the Diamond League held at the Stade Charlety of Paris, where she clocked 48.81.

Paulino is an Olympic gold medal winner (Paris 2024), two-times Olympic silver medal winner (Japan 2021), two-times world champion, three-times Diamond League Final winner, an 3 times Diamond League trophy winner.
