Saul Leonardo (Mena RD) is now a three-time Evo champion after winning Evo 2025, EvoJapan 2025 and Evo Japan 2024. He previously captured two Capcom Cup championship titles. He is also one of the top Street Fighter 6 players in the world. His victory brought a cash prize of US$16,932.

Esports will be a medal sport for the first time at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games. This marks a significant step in recognizing esports as a mainstream sport and integrating it into a major regional multi-sport event. The games are scheduled to take place from 24 July to 8 August 2026.
