The Santo Domingo Metro Office (Opret) announces successful test rides for the Metrro Line 2 that reaches Los Alcarrizos.
President Luis Abinader has said he will ride the Metro Line 2 on its test run in September 2025. The extension of the mass transit service to Los Alcarrizos, the most populated bed city of the National District, is expected to be available to the general public as of February 2026. The line has been built during the Abinader administration.
