President Luis Abinader presented the new version of the National Anthem. The new recording replaces that recorded more than 40 years ago.
The new recording is by the national choir and the National Symphony Orchestra with the participation of Juan Luis Guerra and Jose Antonio Molina.
It had a cost of around RD$3.3 million.
The recording was made following recommendations of the Ministry of Culture, now under Minister Roberto Angel Salcedo, that determined it was about time to do a new version.
