Former attorney general named to cushy board position

When former Attorney General Miriam German Brito retired from the position after almost five years on the tough job, she did not retire from government. She was named vice president of the board of directors at the National Petroleum Refinery. The former general manager of the government’s commercial bank, Banco de Reservas, Samuel Pereyra was named to head the National Petroleum Refinery.

The board positions usually come with high wages.
