Miss World Dominican Republic, Mayra Delgado, took to the runway at the closing of New York Fashion Week (NYFW), making a striking appearance in a wedding gown.
24-year old professional model Delgado wore a majestic bridal dress from the acclaimed Japanese brand Soulmates Dresses, commanding attention during one of the most memorable moments of the event. She also had the honor of participating in the closing ceremony, sharing the stage with notable international designers such as Carlos Pineda, Dariella Castillo, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, and the renowned Dominican designer Giannina Azar.
“I feel honored to walk on this luxurious runway, at one of the most prestigious and historic events in the world of fashion,” Delgado said after her participation.
According to a press release, Delgado’s presence at the event reaffirms the talent, beauty, and international standing of the Dominican Republic in the fashion world, solidifying the country as a source of inspiration.
Delgado in May 2025 had participated in the 72nd edition of the Miss World contest in India.
